UMPIRING SUPPORT FOR PLAYERS

All players in the 12 year old age group & upwards are required to umpire.  This includes Senior Players.

Players and parents/carers should read the Club’s Umpiring Guidelines and familiarise themselves with how umpiring works at Manly Warringah and Seaforth’s expectations of our umpires. Our Tips for Umpires will also provide all players with practical suggestions and tips when umpiring.

All girls are encouraged to purchase a current Official Rules of Netball and the purple U for Umpiring Exam Guide. These are available from the Umpires’ Convenor and are important in helping you to understand the rules and be able to apply them out on court. Make sure you continue to refer to the website throughout the season to keep informed of training sessions, workshops and feedback.

Manly Warringah often runs a Section 1 Umpiring Course which is excellent for girls U14 and up who perhaps need a rules refresher.  It is also a good session for Senior players who perhaps are daunted at the prospect of umpiring seniors and would find the opportunity to review the rules with other players and umpires useful.  Please continue to refer to the Manly Warringah website for upcoming events.
